...I recently watched and liked:
'Small Engine Repair'
A charming debut by Niall Heery, which is set in rural Ireland. The way the film is directed it gives time for the characters be unfolded not only by the actors on screen but also by the audience, which is a brave approach. I went to see it at the Curzon Renoir, and the two main actors, Steven Mackintosh and Iain Glen, were attending the Q&A afterwards, which was great.

'Paris, Texas'
I wish Wenders still made films like that (instead of the awful "Land of Plenty"). It is worth watching just for the brilliant photography and, of course, the stunningly beautiful Nastassja Kinski.

'Rebel Without A Cause'
with the very fiery and handsome James Dean, who plays a character that he actually looks far too old for, which is compensated, though, by his brilliant performance.
